Wife of the Delta State Governor, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, has commissioned the newly completed Issele-Uku Modern Market in Aniocha North Local Government Area.
Deaconess Oborevwori who is also the fonder of the “You Matter Charity Organisation” at the event on Thursday, expressed deep joy at the transformation the local government had achieved and the opportunities the new market presents for the community.
“My heart is filled with joy seeing all that this local government has accomplished. It is a sign of progress, and I am proud of this achievement.

“The thought of building this market means you are genuinely interested in the well-being of your constituents. I am certain that this project will bring relief to both traders and customers. Development is nearer than ever; the economic life here has taken a new turn and will eventually bring prosperity.
“I am glad that the league of those who believe in the MORE Agenda of the Oborevwori administration is increasing. Meaningful development has touched down in Aniocha North and will open more doors. I encourage you all to continue supporting the Governor’s initiatives, and I assure you of MORE benefits” the first lady added.
Deaconess Oborevwori further congratulated the beneficiaries, especially the traders, urging them to maintain the facility and uphold hygiene standards.
Speaking further, Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government Area, Hon. Emmanuel Bazim Chinye, revealed that the market project was a fulfillment of one of his campaign promises and a critical part of the administration’s development roadmap.

He said, “this market is a realization of a pre-election pledge. It aligns fully with the Governor’s MORE Agenda which stands for Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security.”
He highlighted key features of the modern facility, which include: 141 lockup shops, 575 open stalls, 1 big warehouse, 1 Abattoir (housing 44 Meat Sellers), 1 Mini Bank cash service Center, A section for tomatoes and pepper ginders, 16 Toilet facilities, 1 administrative block, 1 omu office and 3 Garage for vehicles.
The Wife of the Governor was also at Onicha-Uku where she commissioned the town hall of the community.
The event featured the presentation of high cultural produce, traditional dance and goodwill message by the President-General, Issele-Uku development union.
