Delta govt bans mixing of concrete on road surfaces, pavements

Delta State Government, has announced immediate ban on the indiscriminate mixing of concrete on road surfaces and pavements throughout the state.

Yourcitinews can report that the ban was contained in a government special announcement released Thursday January 16 by the Hon. Commissioner for Works [Rural Roads] and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu.

The announcement, noted: “It is hereby announced for the information of the general public that the State Government has banned with effect from today, Thursday, January 16th, 2025 the indiscriminate mixing of concrete on road surfaces and pavements throughout the state.

“This is due to the fact that these workmen are carrying out this act and defacing as well as destroying the roads and pavement.

“While the state government is committed to providing road infrastructure across the state, it will not fold its arms and watch individuals destroy the ones already constructed.

“Therefore, any person caught engaging in this act will be appropriately sanctioned and the construction site sealed.”
