Delta govt begins work on Aboh-Akarai road, bridge in Ndokwa East

Delta State Government has launched the construction of the 10.8km Aboh-Akarai concrete road and 100-meter bridge across the Okiri River in Ndokwa East Local Government Area.

The member representing Ndokwa East in the State Assembly, Hon. Prince Emeka Osamuta, confirmed that preliminary works, including soil testing for the bridge, have been completed, while site clearing and bulldozing are fully underway.

The road and bridge project, once completed, is expected to transform access and connectivity across Ndokwa East, boosting local trade, transport, and rural development.

Describing the development as a historic milestone, the lawmaker lauded the Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, for fulfilling what he called “a long-held dream of the Ndokwa people.”

Osamuta however, urged his constituents to keep faith with the Oborevwori administration and support government efforts at all levels.
