Delta Govt Commends IGP for ₦37.6m Payout to Families of Fallen Police Officers

The Delta State Government praised Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, for helping the families of police officers who died while doing their job.

On behalf of the IGP, Delta State Police Commissioner, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, gave a total of ₦37,663,936 to 35 families who lost someone. This was shared by Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe.

The program, called the IGP Family Welfare Scheme and Group Life Assurance, aims to help these families with money.

CP Abaniwonda said the police force really cares about the sacrifices made by its officers and is committed to supporting both current officers and their families.

He added that this act shows the government remembers and honors the work of those who gave their lives.
One of the people who received the money, Miss Chidinma Paul, thanked the IGP and said she will use the funds properly.
