A Non-Governmental Organisation, Search for Common Ground held a multi-stakeholders meeting, aimed at fostering peace and unity in the Niger Delta.
The meeting held on Tuesday, in Delta State, drew participants from Rivers, Delta and Bayelsa Peace Architecture stakeholders in a two-day workshop for coordination and sustainability as the donor exiting the region.
The Country Director, Search for Common Ground, Mr. About Qurattara lauded the stakeholders for their efforts in making peace in their different communities.
“Today, for us, it is a kind of reflecting our programmes, the good we left behind and to see that we did not deviate from our core mandate.
“The project is coming to an end but when this funding stop, does it mean you stakeholders will stop the good work you are doing at the state, local and community level” He added.
The Director of Programs, Gift Omoniwa noted that the meeting was the third time the organization is bringing the three states together to cross exchange ideas for peace.
She emphasized that Search for Common Ground is working in 66 communities across the three target states, encouraging the SPA stakeholders to own it as the organization is existing in the four months.
