Delta Health Ministry Disowns Fake Nursing School Admission Notice

The Delta State Ministry of Health has alerted the public to ignore a fake nursing school admission notice currently making the rounds on social media.

The misleading advert is being circulated through a Facebook page called “Delta State School of Nursing Warri and Agbor Admission News.” The Ministry made it clear that the announcement did not come from them or from any of the state’s Colleges of Nursing Sciences.

In an official statement, the Ministry warned prospective students, parents, and guardians not to interact with or send money to anyone connected to the advert. It emphasized that admission into all Delta State owned Colleges of Nursing Sciences is processed strictly through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

The Ministry stressed that none of its Colleges of Nursing offers direct entry. It also stated that admission forms are not sold by the Ministry, its colleges, staff, agents, or any third parties. Furthermore, no individual, representative, phone number, or supposed school official has been authorized to handle admissions or distribute forms.

Officials explained that claims about the sale of forms for the 2026/2027 academic session, listed programmes, and application contacts are completely false and designed to scam unsuspecting applicants. The Ministry described the scheme as impersonation and financial fraud, noting that efforts are underway to identify those responsible and hand them over to security agencies for prosecution.

Prospective applicants are advised to rely only on verified government channels and official updates from JAMB for accurate information. The public is also encouraged to report any suspicious admission-related activity to the Department of Nursing Services at the Delta State Ministry of Health in Asaba.
