Delta IRS Director Honours Knighting of Sir Walker Peter Oru

The Executive Director of Finance and Administration at the Delta State Internal Revenue Service, Hon. Kelly Emuoghenerue Oghenekevwe, attended the investiture ceremony of Olorogun Sir Walker Peter Oru JP as a Worthy Knight of St. John International (KSJ) of the Catholic Diocese of Warri, joining dignitaries from across the state.

The notable event took place at Fiesta Hall along the Ughelli-Patani Road in Ughelli, Delta State.

Hon. Kelly was present at the occasion alongside Prince Ojido, showcasing his respect and support for the honoree and his family. The ceremony attracted numerous dignitaries, business leaders, and influential figures from both within and outside Delta State.

The atmosphere brimmed with celebration, reverence, and joy as attendees gathered to honor a man of remarkable character and service.

Olorogun Sir Walker Peter Oru JP, father to Lucas Oru, was acknowledged for his dedication to faith and his exemplary leadership within the community. His son, Lucas Oru, a close associate of Hon. Kelly and the CEO of Sirwalk Transportation Company in Otovwodo, Ughelli, is a well-respected entrepreneur and philanthropist with business ventures throughout the state.

In his address, Hon. Kelly conveyed heartfelt thanks to God for the life of Olorogun Sir Walker Peter Oru and expressed gratitude to Lucas Oru for honoring his father in such a noble way.

He also offered prayers for God’s ongoing guidance, strength, and protection for both father and son. Hon. Kelly’s attendance at the event symbolized friendship, unity, and appreciation, reinforcing his dedication to family values, faith, and community.
