Delta Media Forum tasks politicians on collaboration to ensure accelerated development

The Delta Media Forum (DMF) which is a collective of media professionals from Delta state, operating in the nation’s capital Abuja, has called for combined effort among political office holders for the growth and development of the state.

The DMF in a statement issued by its Acting Secretary, Mr. Chris Onokpegu and signed by the Coordinator, Mr. Benjamin Ubiri, called on the Delta State Governor, Mr. Sheriff Oborevwori, National Assembly members, and the appointed minister representing the state to transcend the adversarial postures often associated with electoral contests.

The leaders of the group congratulated the Governor of Delta State on his victory in the recent elections and his subsequent validation by the electoral tribunal.

Expressing their stance, the Forum also challenged Governor Oborevwori to rise above the electoral dynamics and collaborate across party boundaries to foster required development in the state.

Ubiri said: “We extend our heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, for securing victory at the tribunal. This outcome serves as an affirmation of the mandate granted to him by the citizens of Delta State. Additionally, the tribunal’s validation reaffirms the integrity of the electoral process during the February elections.”

Furthermore, the DMF extended its felicitations to Festus Keyamo, SAN, on his appointment as the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace. The media group described Keyamo’s reappointment as a testament to his unwavering integrity and dedication to public service.
