Delta PDP holds state congress August 31

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Delta State, will hold its state congress on Saturday August 31, YourCitiNews can report.

According to an e-statement signed by Delta State Secretary of PDP, Engr. Dan Ossai, the congress, scheduled to commence by 10:00am, will take place  at the Cenotaph, Asaba, the state capital.

The statement, which was released Wednesday August 28, noted inter-alia: “Delegates and Aspirants for various offices should be seated by 9:00am.

“Delegates for the State Congress are:

1. The Governor and the Deputy Governor of Delta State.  

2. Former Governors and their Deputies 

3. Serving and Former Members of BOT

4. Members of the State Executive Committee

5. Serving and Former Members of NEC and ZEC 

6. Serving and Former Members of National Assembly

7. Serving Members of DTHA and Former Principal Officers DTHA, 

8. Local Government Council Chairmen and Vice Chairmen

9. All local Government Party Executive Members

10. All National Assembly and Delta State House of Assembly Candidates of the PDP in the last general election

11. Three Delegates from the Wards

12. Former Members of the State Working Committee of PDP

13. Former local Government Area Party Chairmen 

14. One Physically Challenged Person per Local Government Area, 

15. All Serving elected Local Government Councilors

16. All serving Chairmen, Deputy Chairmen, Secretaries, Women and Youth Leaders of the Wards in the State 

17. All National Delegates. 

“All the categories of  persons mentioned above must still be members of the party.”
