The Delta State Police Command joined the global celebration of Customer Service Week 2025 with an extensive community engagement and outreach exercise led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ugborikoko Division and his team of officers.
The event, themed “You’re Our Priority”, was aimed at strengthening the bond between the Police and members of the community, reinforcing the Nigeria Police Force’s renewed commitment to public trust, transparency, and people-centered policing.
Speaking during the event, the DPO described residents as “valuable partners and customers in the shared responsibility of protecting lives and property,” adding that the Police remain committed to fostering a culture of service excellence and responsiveness.
“Customer Service Week is not just about celebration,” he noted, “it’s about listening to the people we serve, building trust, and assuring them that their safety is our priority.”
During the outreach in Asaba led by Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, officers interacted with residents, traders, motorists, and business owners in the metropolis, discussing safety concerns, crime prevention strategies, and ways to improve the overall quality of policing services.
The engagement also served as an avenue to sensitize the public on the importance of community partnership in achieving sustainable security.
Participants expressed satisfaction with the Police Command’s efforts, commending the officers for their accessibility, professionalism, and continuous efforts to maintain peace in the community.
The 2025 celebration, observed annually in the first week of October, highlights organizations that prioritize customer satisfaction and service delivery.
For the Delta State Police Command, the week’s observance reflects its evolving strategy of community-oriented policing, promoting collaboration, empathy, and accountability in public service.
