The Delta State Police Command on Sunday apprehended six suspected members of the Black Axe confraternity along Ibusa Road, Asaba.

According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe on his X post, he said, “Operatives attached to the Command’s Bufallo squad while on routine patrol along Ibusa Road intercepted a black GLK conveying six young boys, upon searching the suspects and the vehicle, a locally made cut-to-size gun, and two live cartridges were recovered.

“Ordinarily, when people see Police stopping random vehicles for a search, passersby will say Police are harassing innocent youths. Our investigation has revealed that they are suspected members of Black Axe confraternity.”
