Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has called on Delta youths to embrace social media as a powerful tool for economic empowerment, innovation, and the global promotion of the state’s image.
Speaking at the 3rd edition of the Delta State Social Media Summit, themed “Brand Delta, Grow Delta”, held at the Maryam Babangida Leisure Park, Asaba, Delta State, the governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Prince Johnson Erijo—commended the organizers for sustaining a platform that aligns with the state’s development vision.

Our youths must leverage these platforms not just for entertainment but as gateways to entrepreneurship, content creation, and innovation that can generate jobs and diversify our economy,” the governor stated.
He assured participants that his administration, through the MORE Agenda, remains committed to policies that promote digital literacy, access to technology, and infrastructure that supports young innovators.
In his goodwill remarks, the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, represented by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, emphasized the role of social media in building an inclusive and digitally advanced state.
