Delta Speaker Mourns Former Assembly Clerk Dan Okenyi

Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Chief Dan Okenyi, a former Clerk of the Assembly and one-time Commissioner for Lands, Survey, and Urban Development.

Late Dan Okenyi, popularity called Kabila, hailed from Ukunzu in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State. He was a former Clerk of the House during the 2nd and part of the 3rd Delta State Assembly and died after a brief battle with his health.

Guwor in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, described the news of Chief Okenyi’s death as shocking and painful. He offered heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for God to grant them the strength to bear the loss.

He said “It is with profound sadness that I received the news of the passing of Chief Dan Okenyi, a former Clerk of the Delta State House of Assembly and Commissioner for Lands, Survey, and Urban Development.

“On behalf of the Delta State House of Assembly, I extend my deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of the deceased.

“May the family find solace in cherished memories of their late patriarch and may the Almighty God grant them the strength to navigate this difficult period”, Guwor stated.
