Delta State Government Handover Newly Built Classroom Blocks in Ugborikoko

In its efforts to improve education and ensure a conducive learning environment, two blocks of eight classrooms with offices have been built and handed over to authorities of Ugborikoko Secondary School, Ugborikoko in Uvwie local government area of the state.

The projects initiated by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori administration through the ministry of basic and secondary education was awarded to RTO Resources.

The two blocks of eight classrooms awarded by the Delta State government to RTO Resources were handed over to the Principal of Ugborikoko Secondary School,Mr. Ufuoma Irhiri and witnessed by some teachers and a community leader in Ugborikoko, Chief Pius Oghomitse.

The block of eight classrooms with offices have other facilities already installed. They include forty ceiling fans, Eight Marker boards, Eight Notice boards,a borehole with submissible pump and a generating set.

Handing over the project to Authorities of Ugborikoko Secondary School,the Site Engineer of RTO Resources, Chief Emmanuel Eyela said the project was executed according to government specifications.

Principal of the government owned public school,Mr Ufuoma Irhiri thanked Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the commissioner of basic and secondary education for providing for the basic needs of staff and students of the school.

He however appealed that desks and benches be provided for the comfort of the students. A community leader, Chief Pius Oghomitse also lauded government’s gesture, assuring that the project would be protected from being vandalized.

Also speaking, the Special Adviser to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Youth Development, Honourable Ramson Onoyake also appreciated the governor for providing basic infrastructure in public schools.

Honourable Ramson Onoyake revealed that similar projects including roads and drainages are being executed across Delta State

The former Chairman of Uvwie Local Government however thanked youths of the community for their support and advised them to protect the projects from being vandalized by hoodlums.
