Delta State House of Assembly has rounded off its two years anniversary with a thanksgiving service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Region 24, Unity Model Parish, Asaba.
The weeklong activities of the second anniversary of the Delta State House of Assembly which featured media interactive and novelty football match between the legislative arm and the executive arm was climaxed with a well attended thanksgiving service .
At the event, Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, expressed gratitude to God for the successful completion of the Assembly’s Second Session.

He called the day a moment of thanksgiving and reflection on the privilege of serving over five million Deltans.
Reviewing the Assembly’s work, Guwor said sixteen bills were received in the Second Session, with seven passed. Combined with nine from the First Session,where fifteen bills were signed into law.
He noted that the House considered motions and petitions, and collaborated with the Executive to ensure transparency and good governance.
The Delta State House of Assembly Speaker thanked Governor Sheriff qOborevwori, fellow lawmakers, constituents and Assembly staff, for their cooperation, and asked for prayers as they move into the Third Session of the 8th Assembly.
In a remark, Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, commended the State House of Assembly for its steadfast legislative contributions to the development of the state.
Governor Oborevwori thanked the Assembly for acknowledging divine guidance in its work, describing the thanksgiving as the most significant part of the anniversary.
In a sermon, Pastor Olufemi Olumide of RCCG Region 34 emphasized the power of thanksgiving in honoring God and fulfilling spiritual vows.
