The Permanent Secretary in the Delta State Ministry of Youth Development, Ms. Ngozi Mogbolu has reiterated the importance of creativity, determination, and positive mindsets among youths.

During a courtesy visit from the executive members of the Students Union Government (SUG) Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Ms. Mogbolu highlighted the diverse range of personalities within the state’s youth population, some displaying good qualities while others veering toward bad inclinations.

Expressing her satisfaction with the interaction, she commended the student leaders for their clear vision and exemplary leadership.

“You are a treasure, and I urge you to involve as many youths as possible in order to positively influence them,” she added while assuring the ministry’s support whenever necessary.

In response, Comrade Caleb Okupa, the President of the SUG, thanked the permanent secretary for granting them an audience. He emphasized that the reason of their visit was to explore opportunities for collaboration between the students’ union and the ministry in order to reorient students across the state.

He unveiled an ambitious project known as the “DELSU Students Development Project 1,” which aims to establish a cutting-edge digital terminal to shield students from adverse weather conditions while providing a conducive space for studying. Additionally, the terminal will serve as a bus stop and offer enhanced technological resources.

Comrade Okupa emphasized that the project would cater to all faculties on campus and represent a lasting legacy for any sponsor involved, announced the upcoming SUG Week scheduled for mid-July.
