Delta State Police Command arraign three friends over alleged self-kidnapping in the state.

The suspects, one Ade Segun and two friends identified simply as Precious and Nonso were arrested in Warri for staging the kidnap.

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer DSP Bright Edafe, on Friday morning, said Ade conspired with his two friends, staged a self-kidnap and demanded a ransom of 2 Million Naira from his parents.

The suspects called Ade’s parents, and demanded the ransom of 2 Million Naira and his parents reported the matter to a police station in the Warri area of the state.

A policewoman, pretending to pay the ransom went to the location with undercover policemen. They arrested Precious when he came out to collect the ransom.

Edafe said, “When the undercover policemen got to the location, they laid ambush and one of them, Precious, came to pick the money. He was rounded up and arrested. He took them to the hideout where Ade and his other friend were arrested and confessed that it was all planned.”Delta State Police arraign three friends over alleged self-kidnappingDelta State Police arraign three friends over alleged self-kidnapping
