Delta Tertiary Institutions Entrepreneurship Programme

The Delta State Government has announced the opening of registration for the Tertiary Institutions Entrepreneurship Programme (TEP), a youth-centered initiative aimed at encouraging innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment among students in state-owned tertiary institutions.

According to an official statement, registration for the programme will begin on Monday, February 2, 2026. Eligible students are required to apply online through the official portal at www.tepapplication.com.

The TEP is designed to discover, develop, and support students with innovative and viable business ideas, while providing them with the skills and resources needed to become successful entrepreneurs and job creators.

The programme aligns with the Delta State Government’s ongoing commitment to youth empowerment and sustainable economic development. Participation is open only to students of Delta State-owned universities, including the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Delta State University (DELSU), Southern Delta University (SDU), and Dennis Osadebay University (DOU).

Applicants must be indigenes of Delta State, aged between 18 and 35 years, and currently in 200 Level, 300 Level, or their penultimate year of study, with a minimum CGPA of 2.5. Candidates are also required to present an innovative and feasible business idea.

As part of the application process, applicants must upload relevant documents such as a recent passport photograph, admission letter, birth certificate, local government of origin certificate, and a detailed business plan proposal.

The government stated that all applications will be thoroughly reviewed, and only candidates who meet the stated criteria will be selected. Qualified students across the eligible institutions are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to develop their entrepreneurial skills and contribute to the economic growth of the state.
