Delta Traditional Rulers Council lauds Oborevwori’s developmental strides

The Delta State Traditional Rulers Council has praised the tempo of massive infrastructural development across Delta State in the last 2 years of the Governor Oborevwori’s administration.

Following their monthly meeting in Asaba, the monarchs noted that “Delta State has witnessed unprecedented grassroots development across the three senatorial districts both in urban centers and riverine communities”.

They urged Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to maintain the superlative performance in the years ahead.

In a three-point communique delivered by the first Vice Chairman of the Council and Pere of Akugbene Mien, SP Luke Kalanama VIII, the monarchs congratulated the Governor on his 62nd birthday anniversary extolling his excellent leadership qualities which has translated to improved road network, rehabilitation of schools, hospitals, construction of bridges and fly overs as well as general well-being of the people.

They Traditional Rulers also hailed the proactive approach of the Governor in handling insecurity in the state and tasked security agencies join forces and adopt more stringent measures to stamp out kidnapping and other forms of criminality in rural communities in the state.

They acknowledged with satisfaction the wealth creation initiatives of government, which had led to human capital development and employment opportunities for youths across the state.

The traditional rulers urged the Governor to remain resolute and focused in bringing more dividends of democracy to Deltans as enunciated in the MORE mantra of his administration assuring that his good works would pay off in the years ahead.

The meeting was attended by the second Vice Chairman of the council and Obi of Ubulu-Unor, Agbogidi Henry Kikachukwu 1 (Phd), the immediate past Chairman of Council and Obi of Owa , Dr Emmanuel Efeizomor II, and other traditional rulers from across the state.
