Delta Transport Ministry suspends road enforcement of stickers, emblems

The Delta State Government, through the Ministry of Transport has observed with utter dismay the unruly activities of various taskforces in charge of enforcement of sales of stickers and emblems across the state.

The Honourable Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Onoriode Agofure, in a statement indicated that “all forms of stickers and emblems enforcement, in any guise are hereby suspended, with immediate effect”.

The statement further added that although the enforcement exercise has been suspended for the time being, the sales of stickers and emblems are not suspended, as sales are ongoing at different sales outlets and sales agents.

Those concerned are advised to visit outlets that are close to them.

“In line with the above directive, any individual or group caught in the act of enforcement, on our roads, concerning the sales of stickers and emblems will be prosecuted accordingly. To be forewarned, is to be forearmed,” the statement ended.
