As part of efforts to boost national security and youth employment, the Delta State Government has called on qualified young people to apply for the ongoing Nigeria Police Force recruitment exercise.
The appeal was made in a statement by the Director-General of the Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, who confirmed that the Police Service Commission (PSC) has commenced a nationwide intake of police constables in line with a presidential directive.
According to the statement, the recruitment process is free, transparent, and entirely online, and is open to eligible Nigerians, with particular encouragement given to applicants from Delta State. Positions are available across general policing duties and specialised units, offering a wide range of opportunities for successful candidates.
Dr. Oghenesivbe disclosed that the application portal opened on December 15, 2025, and will close on January 25, 2026, urging interested youths to apply early and follow official guidelines.
To ensure smooth participation, the state government has activated its youth enlistment committee, to provide guidance and support to applicants throughout the process. Officials say the initiative reflects the commitment of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration to expanding job opportunities for young people while strengthening security across the state and the nation.
