The Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) has appealed to residents of Delta State to seize the opportunity of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The Commission reminded all eligible citizens, particularly those who have attained the age of 18 and do not yet possess a Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC), to ensure they register ahead of the coming elections.
DSIEC disclosed that online pre-registration commenced on August 18, 2025, through the official INEC portal, cvr.inecnigeria.org. It added that physical registration will follow from August 25, 2025, between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, Mondays to Fridays, at INEC Local Government Area offices and designated registration centres across Delta State.

Those expected to take part in the exercise include:
First-time voters who just turned 18.
Individuals who misplaced or damaged their PVCs.
Voters relocating to new areas who wish to transfer their registration.
Citizens needing corrections or updates to their details, such as names and addresses.
While emphasizing the importance of credible voter registration, DSIEC described participation as both a right and a civic duty.
“For your voice to be heard in elections at all levels, you must be a registered voter. Your vote is your power—make it count,” the Commission urged.
The electoral body also reassured the public that the exercise is designed to guarantee inclusiveness and fairness in the democratic process
