Easter: Ukwuani LG Boss Rewards Teachers with Cash, Food Items

The Executive Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government Area in Delta State, Hon. Barr. C.S. Possible Ajede, has distributed bags of rice and cash gifts to teachers across the council in celebration of Easter.

The event took place on Thursday at the Obiaruku Grammar School Community Hall. In his welcome address, the chairman, known for his commitment to education, extended Easter greetings to secondary school teachers gathered at the venue and encouraged them to support government efforts in tackling issues such as drug abuse, cultism, and fraud among students.

He stressed the urgent need for teachers to instill strong moral values in students, even during regular classroom activities. He also urged them to make use of platforms like Parent-Teacher Association meetings to engage parents and guardians, encouraging them to educate their children on the dangers and consequences of drug use and other social vices.

In response, leaders of the secondary school teachers expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, describing it as unprecedented in the history of the local government. They noted that the support shown by the chairman would be remembered for a long time.

The event featured the distribution of 10kg bags of rice and cash gifts to all teachers in attendance.
