The Chairperson of Ukwuani Local Government, Barr. (Mrs.) Betty Chineye Ajede, has distributed notebooks to pupils of Emeni Primary School 1 and 2, Morka Primary School, Esume-Uku Primary School, and Umukwata Primary School. The gesture was part of the RENEWED HOPE INITIATIVE (RHI), the back-to-school program led by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu.
Speaking at the event, Mrs. Ajede encouraged the pupils to remain committed to their studies so they can build meaningful futures, reminding them that they are the leaders of tomorrow.
She also praised Her Excellency, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori—popularly known as Mama Delta—for her commitment to ensuring that every child in Delta State receives an education. She noted that Ukwuani is benefiting from this vision. The pupils expressed their excitement and gratitude, saying the Executive Chairman and his wife have continued to support and promote education in the area.
Teachers who spoke separately also thanked the Governor’s wife and the Ukwuani LGA Chairperson for their generosity, offering prayers for God’s continued blessings on them.
The Chairperson’s entourage included Mrs. Onyeka Ajede, Mr. Jeffery Opone (Supervisor for Agriculture), Mrs. Chinoye Edewor (Special Assistant on Women Mobilization), Mrs. Iyamah Henrietta (WDO), Mrs. Olise Cordelia (Deputy Director of Information), among others.
