Education is the Cornerstone of my Administration – Gov Oborevwori

Delta State Governor, Right Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori, has described education as the cornerstone of any prosperous society.

Speaking during the donation of books , writing materials ,toilet and water system to Erhavwen Primary School, Erhavwen in Ughelli North Local Government Area courtesy of Adesuwa-Uadiale Foundation, Governor Oborevwori emphasized that education is a powerful tool that can transform any society.

Represented by his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, Governor Oborevwori commended Adesuwa-Uadiale Foundation, a for donating writing materials to Erhavwen Primary School, Erhavwen as part of its back to school programme.

He disclosed that the state, through the execution of the MORE Agenda has provided infrastructure, employment of teachers, and provided teaching aids because every child regardless of their background or circumstance deserves access to quality education.

The founder of the NGO, Dr. Enojare Uadiale in her address read by her husband and co- founder Prof. Michael Uadiale, said the foundation aims to plant seeds of hope for children.

She said the foundation was in honour of their late daughter Adesuwa, adding that through the foundation, thousands of children have received backpacks, school supplies, food and seminars to encourage learning amongst children.

Dr Enojare Uadiale charged the pupils to strive for excellence and never be afraid to make mistakes noting that it was all part of one’s success stories.

The Community President General, Chief David Agbru and Head teacher of the school, Mrs Agbogidi appreciated the Adesuwa Uadiale foundation for the gesture as the back to school initiative in no small measure would ease the economic burden on the parents, boost the public health of the school. That added that the gesture has improved the quality of learning of the primary school.

Meanwhile the foundation equally visited an orphanage to donate food items and toiletries worth millions of naira an initiative aimed to better the lot of the children as well as prayed and encourage them. Sister to the founders, Mrs Ochuko Ophori and mother to the founder appreciated the gesture as it will help to ameliorate the sufferings of the children.

The Adesuwa Uadiale foundation is an international NGO that had continued to inspire change and bring solace to distress areas across Africa.
