Environmental Sanitation: Delta announces 3-hour restriction of movement Saturday June 29

Delta State government has announced that there will be restriction of movement for three hours on Saturday June 29. 

According to a statement credited to the Director, Sanitation and Waste Management in the Delta State Ministry of Environment, the restriction of movement which will be between 7 am and 10 am, is a result of the monthly environmental sanitation exercise.                                        

The statement, tasked Heads of Personnel Management in the 25 local government councils in the state to set up mobile court to prosecute sanitation offenders.                                   

In view of the directive, residents are expected to clean up their environment and continue the practice of personal hygiene.                                    

Residents of the state, are also expected to desilt drainages within their premises, dispose waste properly and fumigate their environment during the period of the exercise.
