Federal Govt Launches Recruitment Drive for Four Agencies

The Federal Government (FG) has commenced a nationwide recruitment exercise through the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) into four major paramilitary agencies. In a statement issued on Tuesday, the CDCFIB announced that the recruitment exercise would cover the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Fire Service, and Nigerian Correctional Service.

According to the statement, the application portal will open on Thursday, 26 June 2025, and will remain accessible for three weeks. The board advised applicants to apply for only one agency and specified that candidates must be Nigerian citizens between the ages of 18 and 35, meeting the required physical and medical standards.

Male applicants must have a minimum height of 1.65 metres with a chest measurement of no less than 0.87 metres, while female applicants must be at least 1.60 metres tall. The board also stated that applicants must be of good character, possess no criminal record, and hold at least a Senior Secondary School Certificate with four or five credits, including English and Mathematics.

It added that individuals with higher qualifications, such as NCE, OND, HND, bachelor’s degrees in relevant fields like Law and Medicine, or trade certifications for technical positions, are equally encouraged to apply.
