Former Manchester City and current Chelsea defender, Tosin Adarabioyo, has revealed that he is contemplating the possibility of playing for Nigeria’s Super Eagles in the future.
Speaking at a press conference in Philadelphia, U.S., on Wednesday, following Chelsea’s match at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, Adarabioyo addressed the topic.
The former Fulham player, who netted Chelsea’s opening goal in their 3–0 victory against Espérance de Tunis, responded to a question from a News Agency of Nigeria reporter.

“It’s something I’ve been asked about a lot lately, and it’s definitely under consideration for the future. I’m open to discussing it, and we’ll see where it leads,” said Adarabioyo.
Adarabioyo scored a commanding header to open the scoring in a must-win encounter, three minutes into stoppage time in the first half, helping Chelsea secure a 3–0 win and progress to the knockout rounds of the tournament.
The victory meant that Chelsea finished second in Group C of the FIFA Club World Cup, behind Flamengo of Brazil, and on Saturday, they will take on Benfica of Portugal in the next round of the tournament.
The defender emphasized that his current focus is on Chelsea.
