A fuel tanker burst into flames earlier today along the Eku–Abraka Road in Delta State, sending thick plumes of smoke into the sky and causing panic among residents and motorists.

The incident occurred near Ighene Street, just before the Eku market, according to authorities and eyewitnesses at the scene.

Witnesses said the tanker uncertain whether it was parked or in motion at the time suddenly ignited, with the fire quickly spreading to nearby houses and shops. Several structures close to the roadside were reportedly affected, though the extent of the damage has yet to be officially confirmed.
