A Seminar with Theme “Strategic Partnership Empowering Lawyers and Future Lawyers in the use of Disruptive Legal Technology “has been held at the Delta State University Abraka Faculty of Law Oleh Campus.
The Seminar which intends to help create opportunity for Lawyers and aspiring Lawyers to do things differently inorder to remain relevant in the law profession was organized by the Daniel Marioghae Foundation in conjunction with the Delta State University Abraka, Faculty of Law Oleh Campus.
The Seminar lead paper presenters Rita Chinda, Dr Ituru Oghenerukevwe, Dr Gaga Ekakitie and Dr Brown Umukoro all dissected the seminar’s topic “Strategic Partnership Empowering Lawyers and Future Lawyers in the use of Disruptive Legal Technology.
Dr Ituru Oghenerukevwe who based his lecture on the effectiveness of Artificial intelligence Ai and its disadvantages argued that Ai should be adopted to help enhance the work of humans.
For her part Rita Chinda spoke on benefits of disruptive legal technology to future Lawyers citing the COVID-19 pandemic era as a major disruption in the way and manner seminars and event were held using online platforms such as zoom.
Dr Gaga Ekakitie’s lecture shed light on what easement is all about while Dr Brown Umukoro centred his lecture on cyber stalking and its attendant penalties punishable by law.
A Representative of the Daniel Marioghae Foundation Mr Mazino Marioghae in his remarks highlighted the activities of the foundation which are geared towards the upliftment of widows, orphans and other less privileged in the society, which are carried out in sustaining the legacy of their Patriarch Daniel Marioghae who was also a lawyer in his time.

He announced the donation of monetary prizes to the overall best graduating student in the Faculty of Law as well as the best graduating student of Isoko origin. Daughter of late Daniel Marioghae, Veno Marioghae-Mbanefo thrilled the audience with her song titled “Nigeria go survive”.
In their good will messages Senator representing Delta South senatorial district Joel Onowakpo represented by Dr Endurance Edafewoto, the Dean Faculty of Law, Delta State University, Oleh Campus Professor Beauty Alloh and a legal practitioner Rockson Ighelighe appreciated the good work championed by the Daniel Marioghae Foundation over the years in Isoko nation.
The ceremony climaxed with the donation of books by the Daniel Marioghae Foundation to the Library of Delta State University, Abraka, Oleh Campus.
