Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has congratulated the newly elected executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State following the party’s state congress in Asaba.
In a message released by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker described the emergence of the new State Working Committee as an important moment for the party, urging the leadership to justify the confidence placed in them by members.
Guwor said the team led by Chief Solomon Arenyeka has a responsibility to build unity within the party and strengthen its structures across the state.
According to him, the large turnout at the congress held at the Cenotaph in Asaba reflects the expectations of party supporters who are looking forward to purposeful leadership.
He noted that political parties play a critical role in shaping governance and policy direction, adding that internal cohesion and healthy debate are necessary for democratic growth.
The Speaker encouraged the new executive to embrace dialogue, accommodate differing views, and ensure that no stakeholder feels excluded as they begin their tenure.
He stressed that beyond party lines, the overall development of Delta State should remain a shared priority.
Guwor concluded by wishing the new APC leadership a productive term marked by stability, cooperation, and measurable progress.
