Hon. Smart Celebrates With Muslims In Oshimili South

Hon. Smart Meka, Chairman of the Rural Development Agency and leader of the Ekueme for Sheriff political structure, has reinforced his reputation as a grassroots-driven leader by celebrating with Muslim faithful in Ward 11, Oshimili South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Representing the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, alongside former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the State APC Chairman, Chief Solomon Areyenka, Meka presented support items to the Muslim community to enhance their Eid festivities.

The gesture, according to observers, underscores a leadership style anchored on inclusiveness, unity, and people-centered governance, especially at a time when many citizens are grappling with economic challenges.

Hon. Meka’s outreach during key religious celebrations including Eid, Easter, and Christmas has become a hallmark of his engagement with constituents, reflecting a deliberate effort to foster harmony across religious and cultural divides.

Speaking on behalf of beneficiaries, Alhaji Habbib, a member of the Oshimili South APC Executive Committee, expressed appreciation for the gesture, noting that it provides relief and renewed hope to families during difficult times.

As part of his visit, Hon. Meka also engaged with prominent community figures, including the Seriki Hausa leader, Alhaji Baba Jero; the Chief Imam, Mallam Audu; and Alhaji Kuta, the Seriki of Nupe in Oshimili South. The leaders commended his continued support and offered prayers for his success and that of his political party ahead of forthcoming elections.

His actions, they note, reflect a leadership approach defined not just by rhetoric, but by sustained and impactful service to the community.
