The House of Representatives Member representing Isoko North and South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Engr. Jonathan Ajiroghene Ukodhiko has advocated for federal presence in Isoko land that has been elusive for years now.
Hon. Ukodhiko said with the contribution of the Isoko nation to the economy of the country, it deserves more than just a federal institution in Isoko land.
He said he is poised to work in that direction to attract federal Presence to the people of Isoko.
The Honourable Member gave this charge in an exclusive interview with YourCitiNews Freelance Reporter, Frederick Umuerure in his country home in Erawha in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, while reacting to his victory at the Court of Appeal in Lagos.
He noted that the victory was for the beauty of democracy which has demonstrated the choice of the people of Isoko to send him to the National Assembly to accomplish his campaign promises to the people as promised.
Ukodhiko who was the immediate past Commissioner for Power and Energy in Delta State, reiterated that he was not distracted by the blackmail and other vices attempted to pull him down but he believed in God for victory.
He said his focus now is to join the Governor of the State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori to better the lives of the Isoko people, Delta State and Nigeria in general.
On filling the shoes of his predecessor, Rt. Hon Leo Ogor, Ukodhiko pointed out that his predecessor has not only been a role model to him but to the leaders and youths of Isoko nation both at home and in diaspora.
He said Ogor has been a source of encouragement to attracting more dividend of democracy to Isoko people and to even outdo his track record during his time in the House representing Isoko Federal Constituency.
