The leadership of Ikolobia Ndokwa, a prominent socio-cultural and advocacy group representing the Ndokwa people, has passed a vote of confidence on the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief Festus M. Ochonogor.

The group, led by Comrade Azaka Fidelis, paid a courtesy and appreciation visit to the DESOPADEC headquarters in Warri on Wednesday, where they lauded Chief Ochonogor’s leadership and developmental strides across Ndokwa land.

Speaking during the visit, Comrade Azaka commended the Commission’s infrastructural projects, youth empowerment programmes, and community development initiatives that have positively impacted oil-producing communities.

“Chief Ochonogor has shown exemplary leadership, transparency, and an uncommon commitment to inclusive development. We have come today not just to thank him, but to pass a vote of confidence on him and encourage him to continue on this laudable path that brings hope and progress to our people,” he said.

Azaka further disclosed the group’s intention to formally invite Chief Ochonogor to the inauguration of Ikolobia Ndokwa, scheduled to hold soon.

In his response, Chief Ochonogor expressed gratitude to the delegation for their thoughtful visit, assuring them of DESOPADEC’s unwavering dedication to equitable development across all mandate areas.

“We are all partners in development. DESOPADEC belongs to the people and every step we take is aimed at improving lives and building a future our communities can be proud of. The Ndokwa nation is dear to us, and we remain committed to fulfilling our mandate,” he stated.
