Senior Secondary School 2 (SS2) student in a school in Agbor in the state is said to have impregnated his teacher who is married
A morally scary new ‘fad’ in some secondary schools in Delta State has left residents of the oil-rich South-South state shocked and in an uproar.
Reports said not a few students and school operators are involved in the immorality of engaging in what a source described as ‘blowjobs’.
Parents and public-spirited persons are outraged by the new menace.
The Daily Times gathered that mostly affected are the numerous mushroom schools that dot the state.
Already, personnel of the State Police Command in plain clothes have been deployed all over the state in a desperate bid to stem the tide of the menace.
The developments came as a Senior Secondary 2 (SS2) student in a school in Agbor in the state is said to have impregnated his teacher who is married, with the boy’s alarmed parents saying he has brought shame to the family name.
It was gathered that some mushroom schools’ operators have been fingered in the litany of scandals relating to the perverse sexual engagements.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the state Command, Deputy Superintendent (DSP) Bright Edafe, told the Daily Times that the police are ”seriously hunting” for the perpetrators, adding that the search was informed by a petition addressed to the State Commissioner of Police (CP) by a group of persons on the matter.
In it, they claimed that their daughters were allegedly subjected to the inhuman act.
Under the aegis of Concerned Deltans, the group had few weeks ago addressed a petition to the CP, Mr. Wale Abbas urging him to investigate bizarre sexual activities allegedly introduced into schools in the state by some operators.
In the petition, signed by the group’s leader, Ezekiel Elliott, a copy of which was obtained by The Daily Times, they said: “We are concerned with the bizarre activities of blow sex job perpetrators in various schools in Delta State. We seek your investigation committee to help uncover the taboo by alleged school operators in the state.”
The Daily Times investigations revealed that perpetrators allegedly foisted the sexual oddity as condition for the females to be admitted into their schools either to sit for external examinations or as regular students.
In return, it was learnt, the operators ‘incentivize’ the targeted regular students by waiving off payment of one year’s school fees, a gesture, a source said, was the clincher.
A parent who spoke to The Daily Times on condition of anonymity because identifying herself would expose her family to public ridicule, said: ”My daughter told me how a school owner during this last WAEC told her to forget payment for the examinations if she accepted his proposal for blow sex job.
”We took our daughter for enrollment for WAEC, when we were told that the school was good in Agbor community. Unfortunately, it was a sad story and we reported to the police on the matter.”
The State Government, through the Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu, had last year threatened to close down mushroom schools, especially those viewed as external examination miracle centres, over irregularities and infractions including sexually perverse acts.
Meanwhile, an SS2 student (name withheld) put his Geography teacher in the family way last term.
It was gathered that the teacher was desperately seeking a child after being married for seven years without the fruit of the womb.
Sources said the stage for the development was set after the student allegedly failed Geography and went to plead with her to change his score and pass him.
According to the sources, apparently seeing that as an opportunity, the teacher allegedly sprang at the chance and hoodwinked him into love, sex and a relationship, which got her pregnant.
Distraught parents of the boy, Mr. and Mrs. Rose William, who confirmed the incident to The Daily Times, said: “We are sad that our son has given us a bad name. And on interview, he admitted having sex with his Geography teacher. We have met with the teacher, who also admitted to the intercourse. We are confused and our son brought to us this disgrace.”
It was further gathered that the teacher has been sent packing by her husband who also allegedly threatened to invoke a traditional curse on her for bringing shame to him and his family members.
