In anticipation of the NNL Super 8 set to take place from July 5th to 12th in Delta State, one of the venues, the Jay Jay Okocha Stadium in Ogwashiukwu, has received a significant makeover.

This stadium, located in the hometown of Super Eagles icon Austin Jay Jay Okocha, is undergoing renovations. The area surrounding the stadium has been cleaned, and various facilities in the vicinity are also being improved.

George Aluo, Chairman of the Nigeria National League Board, expressed his enthusiasm: “We are thrilled that the facilities at the Jay Jay Okocha Stadium in Ogwashiukwu have been upgraded.

This aligns with the commitment made by His Excellency, Governor of Delta State, Rt. Honourable Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, to ensure that players and officials have the optimal environment to showcase their God-given talents.”

These teams will vie for positions to determine which four will be promoted to the Nigerian Premier League.

“The high standards observed during the regular season will be elevated as teams compete for dominance, promotion, and prestige,” Aluo further stated.

“If the regular season’s standard was impressive, then the upcoming Super 8 is set to be extraordinarily exciting. I encourage fans to come out and witness the finest of Nigerian football.”
