Lawmaker to Partner Ijaw Journalists for Greater Societal Impact

The member representing Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Right. Hon. Nicholas Mutu says his long stay in the National Assembly stands as a significant gain to the Ijaw Nation.

‎The federal lawmaker who stated this when Ijaw Journalists Association paid him a courtesy visit at his Warri residence, said his long stay in the green chambers has helped him to gain experience and build connections that have helped him to deliver more dividends of democracy to his constituents.

‎He noted that, when it comes to lawmaking at the National level, experience, years of service, and connections play critical roles in one’s performance.

‎The lawmaker who said he prefers to keep a low profile and work as a silent operator, outlined some of his constituency projects and those he has attracted to his constituency and promised to do more.

‎He told the Ijaw media practitioners that he has carried out several empowerment programmes across his constituency with many of the beneficiaries doing well in their chosen field of endeavours.

‎Right Hon Mutu added that he has initiated several life-changing bills and co-sponsored several others that have passed through the National Assembly.

‎He commended President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for their development efforts and promised to continue to support them.

‎Right Hon Mutu commended the Ijaw Journalists Association for the visit and their efforts in publicising his activities at the House of Representatives, describing them as partners in progress.

‎Earlier, the President of the Ijaw Journalists Association, Bulou Kosin and Secretary, Comrade Ezekiel Kagbala, said the visit was to commend Right Hon Mutu for his achievements at the National Assembly and explore ways of partnership.

‎Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Delta Broadcasting Service, DBS, Asaba Chapel Comrade, Pere Botu, DBS Warri ace presenter, Ezonebi Odumusor,
‎Comrade Kofa Kingsley, Comrade Ebipade Nieketien and Comrade Kelly Gilor were among the delegation of Ijaw Journalists Association.
