Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman has reportedly dismissed the possibility of returning to the English Premier League this summer, despite increasing interest from West Ham United and Arsenal, as stated in a recent report.
Transfer expert Matteo Moretto, who appeared on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, indicated that the Super Eagles star is not inclined to make a return to England’s top division at this point in his career.
“The player does not wish to come back to the Premier League,” Moretto disclosed. “However, much will hinge on the offers that are presented.”
This news emerges amidst significant interest from Atlético Madrid, who are considering a move for the 27-year-old as they aim to revamp their attack following Ángel Correa’s departure.
Moretto confirmed that the Spanish club is closely observing Lookman’s situation, especially after recent negotiations with Atalanta regarding Matteo Ruggeri reopened communication channels between the two clubs.
“Atletico Madrid is very keen and continues to monitor the situation closely.

“Given that, following the Ruggeri transaction, the interactions between the two clubs have resumed, intriguing scenarios could potentially arise,” he stated.
Lookman, whose contract with Atalanta extends until 2027, is currently valued at approximately €50m, with Moretto noting that this is a considerable figure that only a select few clubs might be prepared to meet.
“I’ll provide you with two pieces of information; the first pertains to the price, with Atalanta valuing Lookman at around €50m. That’s a significant amount, and it will be fascinating to see who is willing to invest such a sum for the attacking winger.
