President Bola Tinubu has marked his wife, Oluremi Tinubu’s, 65th birthday, referring to her as his “steady flame.”
In a personal statement released on Sunday, the President described the First Lady as his confidante, counsellor, and an unwavering source of support.
“As you celebrate your 65th birthday today, I honour not only the love of my life, but also a woman whose quiet strength and enduring grace have been my steadying anchor,” the statement read.
Tinubu acknowledged his wife’s steadfast support throughout their journey, from their time in political exile to his current leadership role.
He praised her dignity, patience, and devotion, noting that she has served Nigeria through her quiet sacrifices and burdens carried without complaint. He added, “Nigeria owes you more than many will ever know.”
He expressed his deep love and gratitude, calling her a First Lady whose “warmth and empathy continue to touch millions of lives across our land.”

Earlier, The Port City News reported that the First Lady requested that well-wishers channel their birthday gifts and greetings into a donation for the completion of the National Library project.
Instead of a lavish celebration, she has chosen to dedicate her birthday to this cause, which she described as being “close to her heart.”
In a video message, she directly appealed to Nigerians to make financial contributions instead of sending traditional gifts like cards, cakes, and flowers.
She said the funds are being managed by the Federal Ministry of Education and can be sent to the “Oluremi at 65 Education Fund”, at Zenith Bank Plc, account number 1310314977.
