NAPTIP Vows Legal Action as Daycare Abuse Reports Surface

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has appealed to Nigerians to supply verifiable information regarding alleged child sexual abuse in daycare centres nationwide.

The call was made in a public notice shared Tuesday on the agency’s official X account amid mounting online conversations and viral posts.

In the statement, the agency reaffirmed its resolve to investigate all credible leads linked to the allegations. It stressed that safeguarding children from exploitation remains central to its mandate and vowed that any confirmed violations would face appropriate legal action.

NAPTIP invited individuals with first-hand knowledge, supporting evidence, or personal experiences related to the claims to reach out confidentially. Reports can be submitted via direct message on its social media platforms or through its official email channel as investigations continue.
