NCDMB Empowers Teachers with STEM Skills in Delta

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has launched a five-day capacity-building programme for teachers from oil and gas host communities in Delta State, with a strong focus on STEM education.

The training is being delivered by OMAROG Nigeria Company Limited on behalf of the NCDMB. It is designed to strengthen teachers’ knowledge and practical skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, with the goal of raising the overall standard of education in host communities.

This initiative forms part of the NCDMB’s broader commitment to developing indigenous skills and building local capacity within the oil and gas sector. By equipping educators with modern teaching tools and approaches, the board aims to improve students’ learning outcomes and better prepare them for future careers in the industry.

The programme features interactive sessions, hands-on activities, and collaborative lesson-planning exercises to promote active participation among teachers. The NCDMB has previously implemented similar training programmes, underscoring the role of STEM education in fostering innovation and supporting economic growth. These efforts align with the board’s mandate to strengthen local expertise and capabilities in the industry.
