As Nigeria celebrated its 65th Independence anniversary, Senator Ede Dafinone, who represents Delta Central Senatorial District, urged Nigerians to stay strong, resilient, and hopeful despite the economic and social challenges facing the country.
In a goodwill message to the people of Delta Central, the Niger Delta region, and all Nigerians, Dafinone congratulated the nation on reaching this important milestone. He described the anniversary as a time not only to celebrate but also to thoughtfully reflect on Nigeria’s journey so far.
He acknowledged that while the country is still dealing with the impact of economic reforms, rising inflation, and global uncertainties, Nigerians should keep their focus on the bigger goal of national growth and transformation.
“Real change, especially the kind that lasts, often requires sacrifice,” the senator said, encouraging everyone not to be discouraged by the temporary difficulties.
Dafinone highlighted that Independence Day is a chance for all Nigerians to reignite hope and strengthen their shared commitment to building a nation grounded in resilience, justice, and prosperity for everyone.
Reaffirming his commitment to the people of Delta Central, he promised to keep fighting for their interests in the Senate and to make sure their voices are heard and respected at the national level.
“Let this Independence Day inspire in us a deeper love for our country and a stronger resolve to help her thrive. God bless Delta Central, God bless Delta State, and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he said.
