NNL Promises Hitch-Free, Fair Super Eight Playoff in Asaba

The Nigeria National League (NNL) has committed to providing a fair playing field for all teams participating in the upcoming NNL Super Eaglet playoff, scheduled to take place in Asaba from July 5 to 8.

This playoff, which serves as the championship to determine the title of the second-tier league, will include teams such as Warri Wolves, Osun United, Crown FC, Kun Khalifa FC of Owerri, Wikki Tourists, Yobe Desert Stars, Doma FC, and Barau FC.

Recently, the NNL announced that the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, has given his approval for the event to be held at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, acknowledging the advancements made in the region.

In expressing appreciation to Governor Oborevwori for his support, NNL Chairman George Aluo assured the teams participating in the competition that they would be provided with optimal conditions to showcase their talents in Asaba.

He stated: “With this support, we are poised to successfully conclude the 2024/25 season and identify the top teams that will advance to the premier league next season.

Aluo further assured that there would be “no dull moments during the matches,” adding: “Spectators can expect to witness exceptional football artistry, as all eight qualifying teams possess the capability to secure a spot in the NPFL next season.”

Additionally, he guaranteed that the league board, in partnership with the host state, would ensure that all necessary logistics are arranged for the successful hosting of the tournament.
