NNL Super 8 Playoffs: Warri Wolves wont take anything for granted – Neville

Chairman of NNL side, Warri Wolves Neville Ambakaderemo has said that his side will not take anything for granted when they confront other teams in the Super 8 playoffs, that will determine eventual champion of the 2024/2025 season alongside those to be promoted to the Premier league.

The playoffs will hold at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba the Delta State capital from July 5-12 2025 and Neville believes that playing at home will not give them any advantage even as he stated that they will prepare well ahead of the tournament.

“I want to assure our numerous fans that Warri Wolves will not take anything for granted in the playoffs. Although we are playing at home but that doesn’t mean we have to be complacent because all the teams will be well prepared since everyone wants to be promoted to the top flight.

“People should also understand that there is no favoritism in the present NNL and home advantage no longer work in the second tier league and that is why we must prepare very well ahead of the competition.”

Neville believes that with the caliber of players in his team, couple with their performances in Conference A of the regular season, the Seasiders will not only pick one of the promotion tickets but go for the title as well.

“I have no doubt in my mind that we are going to perform well at the playoff judging by the caliber of players in the team and our performances during the regular season in Conference A.

“Right now, we are well prepared to face any opposition, and our target is not only to get promoted to the Premier league but to also be crowned NNL champion, ” Neville concluded.

Osun United, Crown FC, Barau FC, Kun khalifat FC, Warri Wolves FC, Doma FC, Yobe Desert Stars, and Wikki Tourists FC have all qualified for the Super 8 playoffs to determine the four teams that will be promoted to the Premier league.
