Oborevwori appoints 9 Special Advisers including NNPP rival and sons of Great Ogboru, Edwin Clark

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has approved the appointment of nine Special Advisers, including the sons of Delta serial governorship candidate, Chief Great Ogboru and Ijaw national leader, Chief Edwin Clark.

Oborevwori made the announcement on Monday, in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu.

Those appointed as Special Advisers include Barr. Michael Ogboru, son of Chief Great Ogboru and House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for Ethiope Federal Constituency in the 2023 elections; Hon. Ebikeme Clark, son of Chief E.K. Clark; Dr. Goodnews G. Agbi, Governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 elections and Hon. Barr. Charles Oniyere, a former APC House of Assembly member.

Others include Sylvester Oromoni; Hon. Shedrack Ekene Rapu; Dr. Donald Onyibe Peterson; Hon. Peter Uviejitobor and Chief Nath Azuka Igbadi.

According to the statement, “the date for the swearing-in of the Special Advisers will be announced in due course”.

Recall that Chief Great Ogboru who has contested all governorship elections in the state since 2003, contested against Governor Oborevwori in the 2023 elections under the Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
