Popular Nollywood actor David Onome Ogbeni popularly known as Dave Ogbeni
has been appointed Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Entertainment by Delta State
Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori.
The Delta-born Nollywood star’s appointment was announced in a letter signed
by the Secretary to the State Government Dr. Kingsley Emu.
Emu and the Delta State commissioner for Youth Development, ThankGod
Trakiriowei, described Dave as a gentleman with a prospect whose appointment
was well deserved considering his legacy and achievement during his time in
office as Special Assistant to immediate Past Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.
“As an impactful youth whose contributions to the creative industry in the state
and beyond has impacted the youths positively both in the Nation and in diaspora towards achieving their set goals”, they said.
Dave thanked Oborevwori for the opportunity to serve his people, acting as a
synergy between the Government and the creative industry in the state.
