Oborevwori Assures Justice, Condoles Abraka Killing Victim’s Family

Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, On Sunday, promised that justice will be served regarding the killing of an unidentified woman in Abraka by security forces.

He offered his condolences to the grieving family and urged security personnel to exercise the utmost restraint and strictly follow operational protocols to prevent unnecessary harm to the public.

The tragic event happened when security operatives, reportedly chasing after suspected criminals, allegedly fired a shot that hit the victim.

She was quickly taken to a nearby hospital but was declared dead upon arrival. In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Oborevwori called the killing “very unfortunate,” emphasizing that the tragedy might have been prevented if the security operatives had strictly followed standard procedures.

He urged security agencies working in the state to act with restraint and professionalism in carrying out their duties to prevent unnecessary loss of innocent lives.

Governor Oborevwori reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to safeguarding the lives and property of everyone in the state, and encouraged the people of Abraka to stay calm as the investigation into the incident goes on.
