Oborevwori Commissions Ultra-Modern Omadino Technical College

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, on Monday, February 2, performed the commissioning of the ultra-modern Omadino Technical College located in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.

The inauguration of the project, which took place at the institution’s premises, reflects the Oborevwori-led administration’s commitment to youth empowerment and job creation.

Addressing dignitaries, guests, students and faculty present at the ceremony, Governor Oborevwori explained that education should provide children with practical skills and real opportunities, not just theory. Hence, by investing in schools, teachers, and learning facilities across the state, his administration is creating conducive environments where students and youths in Delta State can flourish and maximise their full potential.

The Governor also expressed his satisfaction with the state-of-the-art classrooms, workshops, laboratories, and administrative blocks, staff quarters and hostels, describing them as consistent with the state’s vision for technical and vocational education and meeting world-class standards.

He noted that the institution will serve not just as a centre for skills development and productivity but as an innovation hub where the futures of Delta youths are determined.

Some of the facilities in the Technical College are equipped with solar power systems to supply constant electricity, thus building a sustainable learning environment where students can focus fully on their education without power interruption.

The college also has an expansive dedicated workshop block designed for real engineering activities and comes fully installed with modern car lifts, hydraulic presses, and engineering tools

Standard sports facilities present in the school’s premises also ensure a balanced student life between work and leisure.

Dignitaries present at the ceremony include the Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Emomotimi Guwor and Arthur Akpowowo, SSG to Delta State Government, Knngsley Emu, The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, among other traditional rulers and distinguished guests
