Oborevwori felicitates Orodje of Okpe on 18th coronation anniversary

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has congratulated the Chairman of Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers and the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, Orhue I, Maj.-Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), on his 18th coronation anniversary.

Governor Oborevwori in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, described the monarch as “a renowned elder statesman, a bridge builder, whose reign had brought great benefits to the kingdom and humanity’’.

The Governor praised the renowned monarch for bringing the kingdom’s citizens together and made it a tranquil and investment-friendly place to live in since he took over the ancient throne of his forebears.

The Governor also commended the respected royal father for his unwavering support for his administration’s M.O.R.E Agenda.

Governor Oborevwori, said: “On behalf of the Government and people of Delta, I felicitate His Royal Majesty, Maj.-Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), CFR, Orhue I, the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, on the occasion of his 18th coronation anniversary.

“Umogu, I join the good people of Okpe Kingdom and Deltans in celebrating a great monarch, whose passion for the growth and development of his Kingdom, Urhobo nation and Delta State remains unmatched.

“In the last 18 years on the throne, His Royal Majesty, Orhue 1, has kept up his brilliant and influential leadership by motivating the Okpe people, Urhobos, and the Delta Traditional Institution to achieve greater things.

“I must congratulate you on your wisdom in preserving and upholding the customs and culture of the Okpe people through encouraging communal life, harmony, socio-cultural collaboration, and peaceful coexistence amongst the Urhobos and other ethnic groups in the State.”

Oborevwori prayed for His Majesty’s continued health, longevity, and wisdom in leading the activities of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council and Okpe Kingdom.
