Oborevwori hails Ndudi Elumelu at 60

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Sunday, congratulated former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, on his 60th birth anniversary.

Governor Oborevwori in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, said Elumelu, who represented Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, was a legislator who achieved great success in the legislature.

He commended Elumelu’s work in the Nigerian Parliament and stated that the former lawmaker’s crucial involvement in the probe into the electricity industry few years ago had not diminished.

Governor Oborevwori said: “You were an exceptional lawmaker who continues to be a beacon of hope and an inspiration to aspiring politicians, even outside of Parliament.

“Since you led the House’s committees on health and power from 2007 to 2010 and 2011 to 2015, we, as a state, remain exceedingly proud of your enlightening contributions to the development and progress of our country, particularly your role in the expansion of these sectors.

“We pray that God will continue to bless you with good health and many more years to come. We are very proud of your leadership role in the National Assembly when you led the opposition as Minority Leader.

“I can attest to your wonderful accomplishments in terms of infrastructure and human capital development and these laudable achievements will continue to inspire many in nation-building.

“On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I join your family and admirers to congratulate you, my dear brother and friend, Hon. Ndudi Godwin Elumelu, OON, on the occasion of your 60th birth anniversary.

“It is our prayer that God will continue to bless you with good health and many more years of greater accomplishments.”
